Merseyrail is looking to put a toilet into the station at Cressington and to do a bit of work on the pavement immediately outside the building.
The details aren't all published yet but when they are you'll be able to find them with the planning application here

Its not a toilet that the station needs it is a lift or a ramped walk way for disabled people and those with prams or wheelchairs. I myself am disabled so getting up or down the stairs is a nightmare as i have arthritus in both legs which by the time i get to the top of the stairs i am totally out of breath.
This comment is spot on. Some sort of access for wheelchairs and prams is needed.
